Business Management BA (Hons) with Foundation Year

Full time including Foundation Year, 4 years

We design our modules to simulate the modern business environment, giving you the opportunity to solve business problems in real-life case studies.

You'll learn in small groups, developing the confidence to work in project teams to a professional standard - gaining real-world experience through the professional placements you'll complete, and you will have the opportunity to conduct a business research project with an employer in your final year.

Foundation Year
During your Foundation Year, you will study four core modules.

This Business Management course integrates theory and practice. As such, teaching methods are designed to be diverse, inclusive and to reflect the global context in which you will operate upon graduating.

Methods include face-to-face, blended and independent learning, through a combination of lectures, tutorials, workshops, work-based learning, ‘real-world’ projects and discussion forums.

Our BA (Hons) Business Management with Foundation Year in Business programme features a strong mix of professional skills and experience, preparing you for a successful career.

A variety of assessment methods are used, matched to the learning outcomes for your programme, to enable you to demonstrate the full range of knowledge and skills that you have developed.

We’ll assess you through business reports, presentations and group projects that reflect the modern business environment.

Applicants should have GCSE English Language at grade C/4 or higher or accepted equivalent qualification and a level 3 qualification equivalent to 48 UCAS points.

Applications are welcome from mature students with few or no formal qualifications. These applications will be assessed based on any previous relevant work experience or learning, an interview, a written task and an English proficiency test.

This course is not available to students on a Student Route Visa.

UK & EU Students (with settled status):

Tuition fees cost £9,250 a year for this course in 2024/2025 until the May 25 (AY24/25).
Tuition fees cost £5,760 for foundation year for this course in 2025/2026, and following years tuition fee will cost £9,535. Students who enrolled in 2024/2025 will also be charged £9,535 for academic year 2025/2026.
Depending on government policy, tuition fees may rise with inflation in future years.
Living costs, e.g.travel, food, will also need to be taken into consideration.

When you apply for your student loan you will need to supply the correct UCAS code for your course of study. This code will depend on your study location, course and start date (see table below) and will be sent to you in any offer email you receive from Leeds Trinity University. Please ensure that you use the correct code to help avoid delay with the processing of your application and receipt of any student loan.

You’ll graduate with the knowledge, skills and experience to work effectively in a management role within a business organisation. Upon completion of the course, graduates will be workplace ready to enter a range of commercial and non-commercial sectors. You’ll also be well-prepared for a management trainee role, or you could continue on to postgraduate study.

Students who are enrolled on this degree, delivered in partnership with Leeds Trinity University, are eligible for membership of Leeds Trinity Students’ Union. Information on how to join the Students’ Union will be given to you when you begin your course.
